D starts the dishes. M comes over with a dish cloth, grinning like an idiot, trying to hold something back.

M: Yeah. Second one from the left is definitely the hottest.

D laughs.

D: I knew it! I knew it!

M shrugs.

M: Yeah, they're all fine, but definitely the second one from the left. I mean, I'm partial to the one on the right, but objectively it's the second one from the left.
D: Yeah, well, as long as you admit the objective truth.

M shrugs again. M does that quite often.

M: The honey crystallized again. I'm melting it.

M motions over towards the stove.

D: I noticed.

...

M: So, suppose you're having a conversation with a woman, and she keeps bringing up anal sex?
D: Well, what sort of relationship does she have with you?
M: What? Oh this is hypothetical.
D: Yeah, sure. But in the general sense.
M: Lets say she's a passing aquaintance.
D: Okay. Now--
M: Let's say you're in a long term relationship.
D: And she knows?
M: She knows you're in a long term relationship.
D: Well, there are two possiblities. Either she's asking just to make things interesting, or she's asking because she wants to have anal sex with you.
M: Okay. So. Would you?
D: Hypothetically? If I was single, sure.
M: Okay.
D: I mean, I personally find the idea of anal sex revolting, but I'd be hoping for some of the normal kind.
M: Well, I'd guess normal sex would sort of be foreplay for anal sex?
D: Yeah, I'd sure expect that.
M: So anyways, if she knows that you're married, and she brings it up anyways, and it's the latter then she doesn't care whether or not you're married.
D: Yeah, that would follow.
M: Hmmmm. I guess women use sex to get men they want.
D: Yeah.
M: But men rarely ever end a relationship to go to a woman they're having sex with. It's all about the sexual gratification for them. Ironically, though, I guess a lot of relationships end when they get caught.
D: Well, I wouldn't call that ironic. More like inevitable.
M: I s'pose that's true.... Women rarely cheat like that though. For them, they're more likely to spill all their secrets and form an emotional bond than they are to have sex with someone outside of the relationship.
D: Well, that's often true.
M: Hmmmm....
